Journey With Rita is dedicated to informing, empowering, and inspiring women to rise through life’s challenges and cultivate lasting resilience. Through Rita’s own journey, she discovered seven guiding principles that helped her rebuild, realign, and rediscover purpose in the face of hardship.

Why Resilience?
According to the American Psychological Association (APA), resilience is both a process and an outcome—the ability to successfully adapt to difficult or challenging life experiences through mental, emotional, and behavioral flexibility. In essence, resilience allows us to adjust to both external pressures and internal changes.
Becoming more resilient not only helps us navigate adversity, but also empowers us to grow and improve our lives along the way. Much like building muscle, strengthening resilience takes time, practice, and intentional effort. The APA identifies four core components—connection, wellness, healthy thinking, and meaning—as essential to developing the capacity to withstand and learn from life’s challenges.
At Journey With Rita, I’ve drawn from my own life experiences to identify seven guiding principles that have helped me build and sustain resilience: Mindset, Gratitude, Connection, Purpose, Habits, Surrender, and Reflection. These principles are meant to inform and inspire, offering practical ways to nurture your own growth and strength.
